NYC High School Admissions

Welcome to BEAM's guide to the high school admissions process in NYC

High school admissions in New York is a maze. And that's in a normal year! BEAM is here to support all our 8th grade families through this process.

Picking a high school is one of the most important decisions you will make this year. We've helped hundreds of families through the system over the last several years, so we hope you will let us assist you as well.

Register for free lunch

Announcement: Be sure to sign up for Free/Reduced Price Lunch (FRPL). Registering for this may help you with high school admissions as some schools are reserving a percentage of their seats for FRPL eligible students.

You will need a social security number to fill this out.
